Louis Daguerre's 224th Birthday

Today, Google honours Louis Daguerre and celebrates 224th Birthday.

Louis Daguerre, a French Physicist, was born in 1787 and died of a heart attack in 1851. He invented the Daguerrotype, an early form of photography and process which involved an exact reproduction of a scene on a silver-coated copper plate.

Ca you imagine a world without photography? Advertising would be primitive, weddings, births and your most precious moments would not be captured and revisited ten years later as if it was yesterday...

So...HAPPY BIRTHDAY Mr Daguerre and thank you!
